Starbright is showing at The Magnetic Theatre in Asheville, NC July 8 - 23, 2022!
Starbright is the story of Grace, an astrophysicist who lost her daughter Abby nearly a year ago. As Grace's life spins out of control, Abby appears to her and begins making predictions about the cosmos. Grace must determine if her daughter's appearance is a sign of her dwindling sanity, or proof that there's more to the universe than even she understands.
We reached out to actor Scott Voloshin to find out more about himself and his experience working on this production.
1. Do you relate to your character or to any character in the show? How similar / different are you?
We are both men who have experienced the death of an immediate family member.
2. Do you believe connecting with those who have passed is possible?
Sure.
3. How did you get into theatre?
University.
4. How is working with The Magnetic different from working with other theatres?
The people are nice.
5. Have you done any research or read any books or listened to any interesting podcasts related to the play's subject matter that you'd recommend?
Rabbit Hole, Interstellar
6. Do you believe there is more out there than what we currently comprehend?
Sure.
7. Do you have any upcoming projects that we should check out?
Disappearing man (my theater group) just performed at Fringe and is developing its next piece (most likely will have a preview in May).
