Meet Andy Thompson! He will be joining us for our next production, Wandering With Magnetic: something i cared about which follows the story of Alyx and Dru, as it unfolds throughout their lives, performed along the Reed Creek Greenway.

Audiences will walk the trail and see scenes of the same couple, played by a different pair of actors in each scene. We reached out to Andy to tell us a bit about himself and about what his experience has been like during this production.

1. What is your favorite Asheville area walking trail/ greenway?

I don't know them well I'm afraid. I live in Brevard but do trails there sometimes. Pink Beds Loop is a good one there.

2. What is one thing you’d be willing to give up for someone else?

For the right person, people can give up a lot of things. Relationships are about the compromises you make to be with others.

3. What are the biggest challenges of this rehearsal process?

The virtual setting and rehearsals over Zoom is a new and learning experience for us all right now.

4. What makes this experience special for you?

This is my first show since quarantine started last year. It’s been the longest apart from theatre I've experienced.

5. How did you get into theatre?

When I was four the third little pig dropped out of my brother's youth troupe play to go skiing and I was there watching so they had me do the role and I went with it and have for over twenty years now.
