Meet Kay Wise-Denty! She will be joining us for our next production, Wandering With Magnetic: something i cared about which follows the story of Alyx and Dru, as it unfolds throughout their lives, performed along the Reed Creek Greenway.

Audiences will walk the trail and see scenes of the same couple, played by a different pair of actors in each scene. We reached out to Kay to tell us a bit about herself and about what her experience has been like during this production.

1. What are the biggest challenges of this rehearsal process?

The biggest challenge... not hugging my castmates!

2. What makes this experience special for you?

This is a groundbreaking event! Doing theatre in an outside venue, where the audience moves to different sections of the show. With small audience groupings, social distancing and safety protocols during a pandemic. Brilliant!

3. How did you get into theatre?

I moved around a lot and got started in junior high. I was always the new kid in school... theatre people almost always accepted new kids.

4. How is working with The Magnetic different from working with other theatres?

I love all the people involved, the open-mindedness and original shows, and the venue is truly one of a kind.

5. Do you have any upcoming projects that we should check out?

Currently working on the Jollyville Radio podcast as a creative writer and voice actor.
