The Frankenstein Rubrics is showing at The Magnetic Theatre October 7-22! We reached out to Jon Stockdale to find out more about him and his experience working on this production.
How did you get into theatre?
I did a summer Shakespeare program back in high school, which mostly wasn't focused on performance but did include a teeny bit of scene work. I loved it and never looked back.
Have you done any research or read any books / listened to any interesting podcasts related to the play's subject matter that you'd recommend?
I very recently read Frankenstein, original flavor! It is so different from the play but 100% worth the read. And if you think that Victor Frankenstein makes a few questionable decisions, just wait til you see what the original Victor got up to.
Biography
Jon Stockdale appeared earlier this year as Demetrius/Oberon in Midsummer 4 Haters at the Magnetic, in collaboration with Nemesis Theatre Company. He's happy to be back! Other of his favorite past roles include Hamlet with the Montford Park Players, Danny in The Submission with Different Strokes!, Roland in Constellations at 35below, and Oliver and Silvius in As You Like It with NC Stage.
