The Frankenstein Rubrics is showing at The Magnetic Theatre October 7-22! We reached out to actor Morgan Miller to find out more about her and her experience working on this production.
Tell us, in your own words, what this show is about!
This show is about the intricate journey of Mary Shelley and friends procuring one of the most famous works of all time, slipping into a fictional reality where the characters come to life forming their own opinions and viewpoints that are both eye-opening and entertaining.
Do you relate to your character or to any character in the show? How similar / different are you?
I do. I feel that most people can relate to Claire in some way shape or form. Who hasn’t pined over something or someone out of reach? Whether that want had been entertained prior to, or not. I feel that I find a commonality in her passion for achieving her goals, as well.
Do you have any rituals you follow when rehearsing for or performing in a show?
Listening to music that I feel my character would listen to and zoning into their mindset to the best of my ability.
How did you get into theatre?
I’ve had a love of performing all my life but didn’t have the opportunity to actually perform until I was in High School, in a Theatre Program.
How is working with The Magnetic different from working with other theatres?
The Magnetic has the utmost respect for its actors. It truly feels like it’s a joint collaboration from every single person involved, no matter the show.
